Tom

Founder & Lead Formulator, KōJō

I built KōJō because the UK supplement market is full of products that look impressive on the label and disappoint in the science. I spent two years reading the primary literature on every ingredient that goes into KōJō Daily Formula — the RCTs, the meta-analyses, the EFSA assessments, the FSA notifications. The formula reflects what holds up under that scrutiny, not what trends on Instagram.

Every article in the journal is one I'd publish under my own name because I did. The dosing is grounded in the evidence; the caveats are honest about what the studies do not yet show; and the citations link to PubMed so you can read the source yourself.

What I write about

  • Energy & fatigue — mitochondrial nutrition, B-vitamins, creatine for non-athletes
  • Stress & cortisol — adaptogens with RCT evidence, HPA axis, sleep-mediated cortisol
  • Cognitive performance — nootropics that have human trials, focus, memory in healthy adults
  • Sleep quality — magnesium glycinate, glycine, sleep architecture vs sleep onset
  • Hormonal health — testosterone in men 30+, perimenopause support, thyroid micronutrients
  • Immune defence — vitamin D, zinc, antioxidant evidence beyond marketing
  • Cardiovascular — vitamin K2, omega-3, polyphenol evidence on endothelial function
  • Standards & transparency — label-reading guides, proprietary-blend critique, UK regulation

Editorial position

I review every health claim on the site for compliance with the EFSA Nutrition & Health Claims Regulation and the UK ASA/CAP code. I do not hold a medical practitioner licence; the journal is editorial commentary on published research, not personal medical advice. For prescription-medication interactions or pregnancy-related supplementation, consult a registered healthcare professional.

If you spot an error in any article — a misquoted study, a stale dose, a missing caveat — email hello@kojo.life. Errata get corrected in the article and noted at the foot of the page.
