Returns & refunds

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Rōnin Daily Formula. If something is not right, we will make it right. The headline: 30-day full money-back guarantee, sitting on top of your full statutory rights as a UK consumer.

Your statutory rights (the floor we sit on)

  • 14-day cooling-off period (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013): for unwanted items purchased online, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
  • 30-day right to reject (Consumer Rights Act 2015 s.20): for goods that are faulty, of unsatisfactory quality, or not as described, you have 30 days to reject them and get a full refund. You do not need to notify us within 48 hours — the statutory right runs for the full 30 days.
  • Repair or replacement (Consumer Rights Act 2015 s.23–24): after the 30-day rejection window, you can ask for a free repair or replacement.

Our policy below is more generous than these floors. Nothing here removes or limits your statutory rights.

Our 30-day money-back guarantee (on top of statutory rights)

Change your mind for any reason within 30 days from delivery, and we will refund you in full. To qualify under this guarantee, the item must be:

  • Unused and in its original sealed condition, or
  • If opened: we still offer the refund as a goodwill gesture provided you contact us — please bear with us if the product needs to be classed as opened-and-unfit-for-resale under the food-supplement hygiene-seal exemption (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 reg. 28(3))
  • You have your order confirmation email or order number

How to return

  1. Email hello@kojo.life with your order number and reason for return. You do not have to give a reason; we just like to learn from them.
  2. We will send you return instructions within one working day.
  3. Pack the item securely.
  4. Post it back using a tracked delivery service (we recommend Royal Mail Tracked).

You can also use the model cancellation form if you prefer (your statutory right under CCRs reg. 32 — never required, but available).

Refund timing

By law (CCRs reg. 34), we must refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or 14 days of you providing evidence you have returned them — whichever is sooner. In practice we are quicker than that:

  • Inspection: 1 to 2 working days after we receive your return.
  • Refund issued: within 3 working days of inspection.
  • In your account: 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank or card provider. We have no control over this last leg, but the refund has left our side within the statutory 14-day window.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout.

Return shipping costs

  • Change of mind: return shipping is at your cost. We recommend a tracked service — we cannot be responsible for items lost in return transit.
  • Faulty, damaged, or incorrect item: we cover return shipping. Contact us and we will arrange a prepaid label.

Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items

Received something damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered? We are sorry — here is what to do:

  1. Email hello@kojo.life at any point within your 30-day right to reject (Consumer Rights Act 2015 s.20). For practical reasons we appreciate hearing about damaged-in-transit issues quickly — ideally within a week — but please be aware that your statutory 30-day right is not cut down by that preference.
  2. Include photos and your order number.
  3. We will offer a replacement or full refund including return shipping — your choice.

Subscription orders

For subscription cancellations or changes, log in to your account and use the cancel button (one tap, no retention queue) or email hello@kojo.life. You can cancel at any time before the next renewal date.

If a subscription order has already been dispatched, the standard 30-day money-back guarantee applies to that batch (return the unopened pouch for a full refund — or just keep the opened pouch and we will refund as a goodwill gesture).

Items that fall outside our money-back guarantee

  • Gift cards.
  • Items marked as Final Sale.
  • Items showing signs of deliberate tampering or use beyond a single trial scoop.

Note: this list affects only our 30-day money-back guarantee. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 are not limited by it.

Your consumer rights

This policy is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing here removes or limits your legal rights as a UK consumer. If anything in this policy is unclear or seems to conflict with your statutory rights, your statutory rights prevail.

If you are not happy with how we handled a return or refund, email hello@kojo.life with "Complaint" in the subject. If we cannot resolve it within 14 days, you may also escalate to Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk), Trading Standards, or use the online dispute resolution platform.
