Matcha Green Tea
~66mg caffeine + ~40mg co-occurring theanine + ~90mg EGCG from a single whole-food matrix. Stone-milled. Japan-origin only.
Mechanism
Matcha delivers three distinct bioactive compounds in a single whole-food matrix: caffeine (~66mg per 2g), L-theanine (~40mg co-occurring), and EGCG (~90mg). The theanine-to-caffeine ratio in matcha (~0.6:1) is why matcha produces sustained alertness with less anxiety and sharper decline than equivalent caffeine from coffee. This formula adds a further 200mg Suntheanine on top of the matcha's own theanine content.
EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) is one of the most studied polyphenols - with documented antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and metabolic activity. Stone-milling and Japan-origin are sourcing non-negotiables: matcha produced outside Japan or via non-stone methods has significantly lower bioactive compound density.
